Today, in our GLOWMAX Face Yoga class — Day 7 of the 10-Day Age-Less Glow-More Challenge — we addressed something few women know:
The inner sun that’s burning your skin from within.
Can stress and overworking really affect your skin?
Yes — deeply.
But not just emotionally.
Biologically and energetically too.
When you’re constantly in “do” mode — working, achieving, performing — your sympathetic nervous system is switched on.
Your body enters a low-grade state of fight or flight.
What happens next?

Cortisol rises (your body’s stress hormone)
-
Internal heat builds up (especially in the face and gut)
-
Hormonal balance gets disrupted
-
Skin becomes inflamed, dull or sensitive
-
Pigmentation, acne, and rashes start appearing
This isn’t “woo.” It’s well-documented that chronic stress can lead to hormonal acne, rosacea, and melasma.
And in today’s practice, we explored the energetic counterpart of this system:
The Pingala Nadi — the solar channel.
What is the Pingala Nadi and how does it relate to your glow?

In yogic wisdom, we have two main energy pathways:
Ida (the moon channel) — feminine, cooling, restful
Pingala (the sun channel) — masculine, heating, active
The Pingala Nadi governs:

Physical energy
-
Action, performance, thinking
-
The right side of the body
-
The fire in the body and mind
When balanced, it gives us vitality.
When overstimulated (as it often is in modern life), it leads to:

Burnout
-
Excess internal heat
-
Overthinking
-
Hormonal overdrive
-
Skin inflammation
Many women unknowingly live in Pingala overdrive.
And the skin reflects this imbalance — especially through:

Pigmentation
-
Hormonal acne
-
Facial dullness and redness
-
General “tired but wired” look
So today, we chose a different meditation.
A cooling one. A balancing one.
What did we practice in Day 7 to calm the inner heat?
We guided our entire community through a complete face-body reset designed to soften the overactive Pingala channel.
Here’s what we did:
1. Shoulder & Neck Massage — (Done in the Bathroom)

Why start in the bathroom?
Because glow begins in the most ordinary spaces.
We did:
-
Gentle shoulder openings
-
Neck rolls and upper spine release
-
Jaw and collarbone softening
Why it matters:
When your upper body is tense, lymph and blood cannot flow freely to your face.
This builds heat and blocks glow.
These postures also activate the left side (Ida Nadi) — the cooling lunar energy.
2. Early Morning Sunlight + Solar Awareness

We stepped into the light — but not just for Vitamin D.
We used the sun intentionally:

To absorb light through the eyes and skin

To align our body clock
-
To calm the overactive nervous system
Why it matters:
Exposure to morning sunlight naturally regulates cortisol and resets hormonal balance.
3. Pingala Nadi Meditation — The Cooling Counterbalance
We closed the eyes.
Breathed through the left nostril.
Visualized light flowing down the right channel.
And softened the heat of “doing.”
This practice helps:

Cool the right (Pingala) side of the body

Balance hormones
-
Soothe stress-induced skin inflammation
-
Anchor the body back into rest, flow, and repair
Even five minutes created a shift.
And the glow? It returned.
Is this a surface fix or something deeper?
It’s deeper. Much deeper.
This isn’t a mask.
It’s not a cream.
It’s not another step in your skincare routine.
It’s a reset for your nervous system.
A balm for your hormones.
A pause for your inner heat.
Because glow doesn’t just come from exfoliation — it comes from regulation.
